Peek-a-boo! Beckie here. But you can call me Becks, Bex, Becka - whatever floats your boat. I am a nerdy gamer from Sweden with my main focus on horrorgames. I started to stream on Twitch in 2022 and today I can proudly call it a passion hobby and a part-time job. 

Born and raised in Sweden, Stockholm and with my very first console Sega Mega Drive in my hand. Shout out to Aladdin (1993) and Lion King (1994). Ever since, I've always upgraded my consoles, ran on PC for a while and continued grinding on Playstation. 

At the age of 7 I watched my very first horror movie, Scream. It gave me nightmares, but also an adrenaline kick! I think that's why I will always have a little extra love for Ghostface.. I love anything horror related. I basically run on horrormovies, true crime, horrorgames.. and coffee.

I've watched playthroughs by horror gamers on different platforms for so long, so in September 2022, I decided to give it a shot myself. I bought a PC, pressed "start streaming" and had no clue I was going to be so passionate about building such a loving and safe community as we have today. I am forever grateful for what BeckieLane is and what it hopefully will grow even more in to. It would be nothing without the amazing community - the Rascals ♥

It all started with a very popular former social platform in the early 20's called Playahead. I had so many cringy nicknames, but we do not talk about those.. Finally, I always thought that names that ended with Lane was so cute. Mandy Lane, Betty Lane etc. So I just put Beckie and Lane together. BeckieLane was the last one before the platform shut down, and it has lived on from now and then as a little joke from those times. 

Before I started my Twitch in September 2022, I sat down to think of a name for a very long time. Nothing good came to mind. Until I remembered BeckieLane. 

Tobin Bones - I've always like the design of skulls. Wether it's human or animal. I knew early on that I wanted a skull as a mascot. He was gonna be my little helper on stream, so I wanted a cute, simple design. Cute in all honor - but of course we needed blood. He is a hard little worker after all. The main Rascal. So I sat down in my drawing program and this became the final result of Tobin. 

Why Tobin? Tobin Bell (Jigsaw) is one of my favorite actors, especially in the Saw-movies. He is a man to honor. So with Tobin Bell as an inspiration, this little fellows name became - Tobin Bones.

Why do you call your community "Rascals"?

In this community, we have a different take on what the definition of a rascal is. Our definition of a rascal is someone who dares to be themselves, even if it breaks the typical norms. It is someone who has the courage to go their own way, when everyone else is rolling their eyes at them. It is someone who aims to reach their goals, when everyone around them says that they can’t do it. 

We stand our ground. We are cheeky, strong and unique in a lovable way. We are Rascals.
